Bio: Andrea Charise is Associate Professor in the Department of Health and Society at the University of Toronto Scarborough, where she founded Canada's first undergraduate program in Health Humanities (www.scopelab.ca). As of late 2020, she is the principal investigator of "Flourish", a "Clusters of Scholarly Prominence" at UTSC focused on how community-engaged art is essential to enhancing social wellness. Her own research and creative practice explores how digital storytelling can be used to foster intergenerational connection with a focus on Scarborough's stories of aging (www.resemblageproject.ca). She is the author or co-editor of two recent books, including The Routledge Companion to Health Humanities (2020).
